Our team at Los Gatos Dental Group is always here to help patients make educated, excellent decisions for their oral health, which is why we’re happy to answer any questions or concerns that you may have. Below, we’ve compiled a list of answers to the most common ones that we receive from patients. If you don’t see the information you’re looking for, feel free to reach out to our team directly.

Do I have to visit your dental office every six months?

The American Dental Association and Los Gatos Dental Group recommend that people visit the dentist twice a year to preserve oral health and prevent advanced dental health concerns, like tooth decay and gum disease.

What is CEREC?

CEREC stands for chairside economical restoration of esthetic ceramics. That sounds complicated, but it’s actually quite simple. CEREC allows our team to offer crowns, inlays, onlays, and other high-quality ceramic restorations in just one visit, rather than the two or more required for traditional restorations.

Do you offer braces?

Both Dr. Diercks and Dr. Karamardian are trained providers of Invisalign and Six Month Smiles. Not every case can be treated here, but we will discuss your case with you and refer you to a great orthodontist if deemed necessary. Children and adolescents are all referred out to our network of local orthodontists. These cases tend to be more challenging and complex than adult cases and are best treated by a specialist.

What if I have an emergency?

Contact us right away during a dental emergency. We’re happy to help you manage pain and damage until you arrive, and we work hard to offer same day treatment whenever possible.

If I’m nervous, can you help?

Absolutely. We work hard to make you feel comfortable from the moment you arrive, but if you need a little extra help, we also offer sedation dentistry services including nitrous oxide (laughing gas), oral conscious, and IV conscious sedation for optimal comfort during any procedure.

What if I need assistance financing my care?

We are happy to work with patients to maximize insurance coverage, and we accept financing from CareCredit and LendingClub for those interested in creating affordable low or no-interest payment plans for their care.
